Welcome to the 38th SBFC

The development and deployment of a diverse array of bio-based fuels and chemicals products from non-traditional renewable feedstocks such as algae and terrestrial biomass is required to address energy security and environmental issues. Reflecting this, the number of scientific journals covering renewable fuels and chemicals has expanded significantly over the past decade, investment in basic research and development continues and large scale bio-based technologies are coming online.
