Poster Information


Sunday, July 24

Poster setup will begin at 11:00 am. Poster setup must be completed no later than 5:00 pm on Sunday.
Poster Session 1/reception will be held from 7:00 - 9:00pm.

Monday, July 25

Poster Session 2/reception will be from 4:30 - 6:30pm.

Tuesday, July 26

Please Note: Poster and exhibit hall teardown will begin at 8:00am. All posters must be removed from the exhibit hall no later than 12:00 noon on Wednesday. Posters left up beyond that time may be discarded.

Poster Guidelines

Each poster session is two hours in length. Authors should be available during that time to answer questions, expand on the material and take part in discussions. Authors must stand at their poster during the poster hours listed. No shows will not be permitted to submit a poster for the annual meeting in 2012. If your poster has been accepted and your cannot attend, it is your responsibility to notify SIM of the cancellation prior to the opening of the annual meeting. The following guidelines have been adopted.

  1. Poster size is 4' x 4'. There will be two posters per side of the 4' x 8' board. Larger posters may not overlap others. Failure to extend courtesy to other presenters may result in removal of a poster.
  2. Abstracts scheduled for poster session presentation will be grouped by topic. Poster sessions will be held: Sunday, July 24 and Monday, July 25. You will be notified of your session and time via email. Also check the meeting program onsite.
  3. Posters should be mounted on assigned boards. Locate your poster number in the meeting program. Your poster number will be posted on your board prior to setup. Poster pins will be available at the registration desk.
  4. Availability of hand-out materials and photocopies of the abstract are helpful.
  5. Type should be easily legible at a distance of several feet. Please do not write, draw or paste on the poster boards.
