SIMB has negotiated a shared-ride shuttle discount for SBFC attendees who book service to and from the Hyatt Regency La Jolla on SuperShuttle www.simbhq.org/sbfc/hotel/ground/. The discount is $2.00 one way and $4.00 round trip. You may also call 1-800-blue-van and use code L4NAQ to receive the discount. ExecuCar sedan service is also available.

Shuttle between the Hyatt Regency La Jolla and the Sheraton La Jolla

For SBFC attendees staying at the Sheraton La Jolla, 3299 Holiday Court, La Jolla, CA 92037, (858) 453-5500, SIMB will provide shuttle service each morning and evening according to the following schedule. SuperShuttle vans will circulate continuously during these hours:

Tuesday, April 28:

The Sheraton La Jolla is a 10-minute walk from the Hyatt Regency La Jolla.

Parking at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla

Indoor Self Parking is available for $10.00 per day. Overnight hotel guests will pay for the daily parking charges at check out.

Local guests driving for the day (not staying overnight in the Hyatt), should enter the garage and pull a ticket. See a SIMB staff member at the SBFC registration desk for a “chaser ticket” that you will insert with your pulled ticket at the garage pay station when exiting the garage to pay the $10.00 rate.

Indoor Valet parking is $32.00 per day (Includes In/Out Privileges)

When you Arrive

Please stop by the SBFC Registration Desk in Foyer II on the Ballroom Level of the Hyatt Regency La Jolla to pick up your name badge, program, registration list, and other Symposium materials during on-site registration hours:

Tuesday, April 28: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Wednesday, April 29: 7:00 AM – 12:00 NOON
Thursday, April 30: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

The official SBFC name badge must be worn during all SBFC sessions and activities, and to ride the SBFC shuttle buses for Wednesday afternoon’s optional visits to downtown San Diego.

One copy of the printed SBFC Program will be given to each registrant. We will not be able to replace a lost copy, but will refer anyone who has lost a program to the online program schedule at https://sim.confex.com/sim/37th/webprogram/meeting.html

Letter Certifying Presentation or Attendance

If you are an oral or poster presenter and require a letter certifying your attendance and participation, you may download a customized copy from the abstract site where you first submitted your abstract (https://sim.confex.com/sim/37th/cfp.cgi). If you are not a presenter, please stop by the SBFC registration desk to request a letter that will be emailed to you following the Symposium.

Poster Presenters

Poster Presenters should check in at the SBFC registration desk in Foyer II on the Ballroom Level to pick up registration materials and then proceed to Aventine Ballroom ABC or the Grand Foyer to set up poster materials. Poster chairs will be available to assist with poster setup. Poster pins will be available. Student presenters will receive colored-coded poster numbers (Applied-Green; Fundamental-Yellow).

Rapid Fire Poster Showcase Presenters

Presenters taking part in the Rapid Fire Poster Showcase on Monday, April 27, should report to the Vicino Ballroom at 11:30 a.m. and take a seat in the front row according to where you find your name. Please be ready to present as soon as the welcoming remarks are finished.

Meeting Room Wireless Internet Access

Wireless Internet Access will be available in the meeting rooms by using the Network SIMB and password simb2015.

Attendee Access to Presentations

Attendee login access to uploads of presentations will be provided via email within the next few days. The login will also be posted at the SBFC registration desk. Everyone who registered and paid for the meeting, including those who are no-shows and those who cancelled and are not eligible for refunds, will receive the login access. In addition, those who are no-shows or cancelled but paid to attend the meeting will receive a program book via regular mail.

Tabletop Exhibits

Please visit representatives from the exhibiting companies www.simbhq.org/sbfc/exhibits/exhibitors/ in the Grand Foyer, Ballroom Level during exhibit hours listed in the SBFC Program.

Monday “Welcome to the SBFC”

Reconnect with your SBFC colleagues and friends while enjoying a refreshment break during exhibit hours in the Grand Foyer, Ballroom Level, on Monday, April 27, between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Monday-Thursday Speaker/Session Chair Breakfast

Session chairs and invited speakers should plan to meet for breakfast in the Milos Room, Second Floor Conference Level, on the day of your session to discuss any last program updates. Monday’s breakfast will be held 9:00-10:00 a.m.; Tuesday-Thursday’s breakfasts will be held 7:00-8:00 a.m.

Wednesday Optional San Diego Shuttles

SBFC shuttle buses have been arranged for your convenience in visiting many popular downtown San Diego sites during the free afternoon on Wednesday, April 29.

Shuttle buses marked “SBFC City Shuttle-Route 1” and “SBFC City Shuttle-Route 2” will depart from and return to the front of the Hyatt Regency La Jolla beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29 and will loop continuously on two routes until 6:30 p.m.

Both routes stop at the same destinations, but on a slightly different time schedule. You may use both routes interchangeably. Each stop will be marked with a sign and will be staffed by an AlliedPRA host/hostess in a blue AlliedPRA polo shirt.
