Starting from scratch: Building a TEA and LCA within early phase R&D

Tuesday, May 21, 2024, 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM EDT

Webinar Description

When ideating new bioproduct development opportunities, scientists and engineers are often tasked to “begin with the end in mind,” a phrase that can cover a lot of bases! As part of this, we must understand the quality, market, cost, environmental, and regulatory aspects related to the product we wish to produce, when and where we wish to produce it. This webinar will focus on simple methods to build up a technoeconomic assessment (TEA) and life cycle assessment (LCA) for biomolecule products that are still within early phase R&D. The webinar will focus on using tools widely available to every user, rather than specialized software, and provides a starting point from which to develop your own models with some common techniques.
